Zebra Puzzles

A zebra puzzle is the classic "Einstein's Riddle" format: a row of houses, seats, or positions, each with several attributes, and a list of clues that pin down who or what belongs where. The positional structure — first house, next to, two doors down — is what separates a zebra puzzle from a logic grid: here, order matters.

Every zebra puzzle here runs through a constraint solver before publication. It checks every possible arrangement of the row and confirms exactly one satisfies every clue — the same proof-before-publish standard the site's logic grid and knights-&-knaves puzzles carry, shown as the ∎ verified badge on each card.
